This countryfied surfer combines toe-riding and twang to achieve a sound unique to the South Eastern coast of Florida in which he calls home. Supported by both Stoke Surfboards and Vans, Brett Staska has found a niche as a bonafide songwriter and waterman.
His latest single “Cheatin’ Heart” perfectly showcases songwriting ability while maintaining a tasteful simplicity that is ever present in the ocean environment.
Half a decade since the release of ‘‘No Worries’, an EP composed of four beautifully crafted acoustic lullabies, Staska has shown no signs of stagnation. In 2017 he pushed out two hoppin’ surf rock blues tracks under a release named ‘Gimmie Gimmie. Three years later ‘Love/Time’ dropped, a culmination of dedication and the willingness to transition into a more mature sound.
Complete with tasty licks, steel guitar, and elegant songwriting Brett Staska has slammed it out of the park with his latest two songs “Cheatin’ Heart” and “Still On My Mind”. Unforgivingly, Staska has yet again forced his listeners to grow with him. Combined with the release of two new music videos, these songs are sure to catch the attention of his ever-growing fanbase.
